Portishead - All Mine
Here's something a bit less metal for a change. I've never mentioned Portishead in this blog but it is one of my most listened non-metal/-rock bands. They're a legendary British trip hop/electro band who released a couple of excellent, now legendary albums in the nineties, and a long-awaited third album in 2008. All Mine is from their self titled second album, released in 1997, and I think it's absolutely a perfect piece of music. The slow beat and emotional vocals, with a bit of James Bond vibes thrown in there, is a beautiful, sensual combination. The topic of the lyrics fits perfectly as well; the feeling of wanting to own a person. (It's not healthy.)
Hmm, this makes me want to write more about this band. Maybe I will.
